How to choose an Ella walk in tub
- Start with the seat, not the shell. Measure hip width seated. Under 20 inches: Petite, Mobile, Transfer26 or Capri. 20 to 23 inches: Elite, Standard, Ultra, Transfer30, Monaco. Over 23 inches: Royal, Transfer32, TransferXXL, ShaK, Escape.
- Door swing: inward doors need no clearance in the room and seal tighter under water pressure; outward doors give more space inside the tub and make wheelchair transfer possible.
- Height: anyone over about 6'1" should look at the Deluxe, Ultimate, Transfer60, Big4One or ShaK.
- Couples and caregivers: Companion and Tub4Two seat two facing each other in a 60-inch alcove.
- Prefer to lie back: the 30 x 60 and 32 x 72 Lay Down models bathe like a conventional tub with a door.
